The services are as follows:

1. Critical Incident Response

Clearhead provides a structured, research-informed response model for workplaces affected by critical incidents such as sudden deaths, serious accidents, workplace violence, or natural disasters. The model is grounded in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and Psychological First Aid principles and aims to:

• Ensure psychological safety

• Deliver practical, timely support

• Meet employer and employee needs

• Support natural recovery and resilience

• Minimise psychological harm and long-term impacts

Each service level is tailored to the needs of the organisation and the specific nature of the incident. Services can range from consultative manager support to fully facilitated on-site responses with individual and group support.

2. Fitness for Work Assessment

A fitness for duty assessment is an independent evaluation of an employee to determine if they have the psychological capacity and capability to fulfil all essential job functions for their position safely and effectively, in consideration of broader contractual requirements. Depending on the scenario, a fitness for duty assessment may also be suitable for a return-to-work scenario following a significant event.

What is the process?

1. A Clearhead psychologist will consult with the referring manager/HR to gather background information.

2. Collection of consent from the employee.

3. Interview and employee assessment.

4. A report is provided to the referring manager/HR summarising assessment findings and recommendations.

5. The Clearhead clinician meets with the referring manager/HR for final Q&A and support with understanding the recommendations

3. Alcohol and Drug Service

An assessment and rehabilitation service tailored for employees who have experienced a workplace-related drug or alcohol issue typically following a failed drug test or alcohol-related incident. This structured service provides organizations with a professional, evidence-based intervention pathway that supports employee wellbeing and recovery while aligning with workplace policies.

The Clearhead intake team collects consent from the employee and explains information that will be shared with the employer. An initial assessment is then conducted by a DAPAANZ (NZ) or APSAD (AU) accredited addiction specialist. A report with treatment recommendations is produced (with a copy provided to the employer), typically followed by 6-12 recovery therapy sessions.

4. Manager Support/ Consultation Service

This is for people leaders who may be facing challenges with responding to a mental health issue with an employee or employees. Advice is provided by Clearhead’s in-house clinical team, often including online or telephone consultations and written advice by email. After initial brief advisory support (up to 15 minutes free of charge), Clearhead may offer ongoing manager consultation of this nature.

5. Professional Supervision

This is regular proactive individual or group support to help employees manage the demands of their role. Typically, it is for employees in roles that are particularly psychologically demanding or involve exposure to unpleasant events. Supervision is regular protected time, usually monthly, every two months, or quarterly for a wellbeing check-in. It is a confidential space for debriefing, reflection, and problem solving, in a culturally appropriate and professional framework. For individuals it is a recurring 1-hour appointment between the supervisor and employee. Group sessions are 90 plus minutes with small groups (typically 4-10) made up of number of colleagues with similar roles and work location in a supportive environment, facilitated by a Clearhead supervisor.

6. Training

Clearhead undertakes Workshop / Seminars and Webinars. These involve delivery of a psycho-education session on a mental wellbeing topic of interest by a mental health professional who us an expert in the content area. Clearhead sources clinician with expertise in the area of interest, who prepare content for seminar/webinar delivery and facilitate the workshop. There is variation in the:

• The size of the audience

• The type of audience (all employees or managers / leaders, etc.)

• Whether it is an interactive session (usually in person) or lecture style session with Q+A at the end (usually webinar)

• Whether it is to be delivered in-person on-site at the employer’s location, or via a webinar (platform / link to be organized and hosted by the employer)

The sessions are usually one hour – though longer half day and full days workshops occur as a series of regular training.
