Most clients, but not all, receive a new allocation of sessions, usually at the start of each calendar year.
If it is clinically appropriate, it may be preferable to continue sessions under the new annual allocation rather than submit a session extension, particularly at the end of the year. If a session extension is requested close to the Christmas and New Year period, Clearhead may ask that sessions proceed using the client’s new calendar‑year allocation where appropriate.
Clients are able to access their new allocation by rebooking on the platform and you will not see the new allocation unless a new booking is initiated by the client. However, providers should not proactively contact clients at the beginning of the year to offer additional sessions unless this is clincally appropriate or has been previously agreed.
